WTF! Let's Raid!
WTF is a World of Warcraft guild on U.S. Greymane Alliance. While the guild has members young and ... well, older ... we bill ourselves as a casual, adult guild for members from all over Canada, the U.S. and a few other countries. We routinely run in cooperation with other guilds. This site seems to provide a well-designed means to better organize such activity.
WTF typically raids Tuesday through Saturday at both 7 PM and 9 PM server time, running two groups through 10-person content or other, as numbers allow. We'd like to do more 25-person content. Sundays and Mondays are our leveling and alt days; so, look for possible scheduled events on those days, too.
WTF uses the Suicide Kings loot distribution system. We've found this system works better in casual environment where people show up to play first and foremost, and loot is but a happy consequence. Even when we include visitors or persons interested in joining the guild, they oftentimes end up with an item or two to improve their toon. WoOt! We all can win! Greedy, self-centered smucks can play the DKP-game.
Bids are "need" before "greed," where "need" requires a complimenting relation between current spec and item type. All else is "greed," save a desire to vendor or shard. All undesired items are sharded and high-roller gets the spoils.
WTF uses TeamSpeak for it's voice communications. While Ventrilo may be the more popular choice, we've found TeamSpeak to provide a richer sound quality and much better features.
WTF's philosophy is simply this: Everyone plays to have fun. For many that means playing the game with other mature players in an environment free of emo, unnecessary drama, and childlike behavior. To that end, WTF expects members and visitors alike to participate, treat others with courtesy, act in a manner that is appropriate. Others want to see new content and kill it. We strive to meet those demands as well!
And, most might assume "WTF" means, "What the #@$!" Well, it might and it might not. We like to say it stands for a lot of different things. Get to know us, and then decide ...
